Marco de Boer

CEO & Founder at reNature

Marco de Boer has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Marco is currently the CEO & Founder of reNature, a foundation that supports the transition to regenerative agriculture and agroforestry. Marco co-founded reNature in 2018 and later established reNature Investments BV in 2019.

Prior to reNature, Marco worked as a Brand Strategist at Nordsol from 2019 to 2021. Marco also founded and served as the Strategy & Creative Director at Bohemia Amsterdam, a creative agency, from 2011 to 2021. Marco supported Aat Vos and their company, includi, as a Strategy Director from 2016 to 2020, assisting with brand growth and curating a book.

Additionally, Marco has experience as a Speaker at Speakers Academy® from 2013 to 2019 and held leadership roles at the Entrepreneurs' Organization. Marco served as a Forum Director EMEA, responsible for forum health across 13 countries, and as a Forum Chair NL from 2010 to 2013.

Marco's earlier work includes being a Partime Teacher at Hallo Academy from 2002 to 2012 and founding their first company, Artmiks, in 1995. Artmiks gained recognition for its communication, design, and digital work, and Marco successfully built consumer brands during their 16 years with the company. Marco also served as a board member at ADCN | Club for Creativity from 2005 to 2009 and as a Professor at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague, from 2006 to 2009.

Marco de Boer attended Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences from 1985 to 1987, but did not complete a degree or field of study. Marco then pursued a bachelor's degree in arts and crafts at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences from 1988 to 1993.
