Laura Prenel has a diverse work experience in the field of textile and material design. Laura started their career as a Graphiste at Numéro Design in 2006. Laura then worked as an Assistante Design Textile et Matière at AGENCE DE STYLE NELLY RODI in 2008. Laura had a brief stint as an Assistante Designer Textile et Matière at Salomon in 2009 before moving on to Element Design Paris as a Designer Textile et Matière in 2010. In 2011, Laura worked as an Assistante styliste Intérieurs & couleurs at Groupe Carlin. Laura then joined JCR Fabrics as a Styliste Textile / Imprimés from 2012 to 2015. Following that, Laura worked at Groupe PSA as Chef de projet Couleurs et Matières Citroën from 2017 to 2018. Laura then joined Holding Textile Hermes as a Gestionnaire Archives / Service Patrimoine from 2019 to 2020. Currently, Laura holds the position of Head of CMF Design at Renault Trucks, starting from 2022.

Laura Prenel completed their education from 2007 to 2011 at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs (ENSAD Paris), where they obtained a Master's degree in Design Textile et Matière. In 2009 and 2010, they attended the University of Art and Design Konstfack in Stockholm (Suède) as part of the Erasmus program, focusing on Textile Design. Additionally, in 2005 and 2006, they studied at the Ecole Supérieure d'Art et de Design (ESAD Reims) with a specific focus on Design Objet.
