Irene Cortés Lafuentes

Irene Cortés Lafuentes is an experienced professional in the field of artificial intelligence and data management, currently serving as Responsable de Proyectos IA & Datos and SW Project Manager at Renault Group from October 2022 to February 2025. Prior to this role, Irene worked at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid from October 2016 to September 2022 in various research positions focused on deep learning, including Personal Investigador Pre-doctoral en Formación, Técnico de apoyo a investigación, and Estudiante investigador. Additionally, Irene completed a research stay as a visiting researcher at Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT) from December 2021 to April 2022, collaborating under the supervision of Professor Christoph Stiller. Irene holds a Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Automation from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, with an expected completion in March 2024, and obtained a Master's degree in Robotics and Automation from the same institution in January 2018.
