Jim Elsdale

Jim Elsdale is a highly experienced technical director with a robust background in civil engineering and significant contributions to major infrastructure projects. Currently serving as Technical Director at Rendel Limited since October 2023, Jim has previously held key positions including Technical Assurance Technical Director for highways at Sweco and Design Team Leader at Kier Highways. With a career spanning over two decades, Jim has demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale projects, leading teams, and implementing enhancements in construction methodologies, notably during tenure at WSP in both the Middle East and the UK, as well as Parsons Brinckerhoff. Jim's academic qualifications include an MSc in Systems Thinking in Practice from The Open University and a BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Dundee.
