Gerard Smith

Gerard Smith has extensive experience in the tech industry. Gerard most recently worked at Render Networks as the Senior Director of Product Engineering. Prior to that, they were a Technical Lead at the same company. From 2016 to 2023, Gerard worked at Qsic, where they held the role of CTO and Senior Software Engineer. At Qsic, they built an end-to-end solution for an IoT device and developed patented technology. Before that, Gerard worked as a Senior Software Developer at Cengage Learning and as a Senior Backend Developer at Isobar. Gerard also had their own freelance business, Gerardable, where they developed bespoke websites for small to medium businesses. Gerard has also held various contract roles as a Digital Production Lead at J. Walter Thompson Worldwide, a Senior Software Engineer at Project Principles Australia, a Senior Digital Producer at CHE Proximity, a Digital Producer at Clemenger BBDO, and a Digital Producer at cummins&partners.

Gerard Smith attended Caulfield Grammar from 1997 to 2003, where they completed their high school education and achieved their VCE. Gerard then pursued a Bachelor of Multimedia degree at Monash University from 2004 to 2006.
