Martin Angst began their professional career in 2014 as an Architectural Intern at Faleide Architects. In 2015, they took on two roles at Virginia Tech, first as a Design Robotics Research Assistant and then as a Design Robotics Student Assistant at TU Braunschweig. In 2017, they completed a Design Internship at DFA Studio. In 2018, they became Co-Founder of Rendyr, where they worked to bring desktop robotics to the user. In 2020, they began working as an Adjunct Professor at the Virginia Tech School of Architecture + Design.

Martin Angst completed a Bachelor of Science in Architecture (B.Sc.) from Technische Universität Braunschweig between 2011 and 2016. Martin then enrolled in a Non-Degree program at Virginia Tech in 2014 and 2015. Finally, they graduated with a Master of Architecture (MArch) from Virginia Tech in 2019.
