Alvin Yap

Alvin Yap is a Senior Engineer at REC since April 2022, with extensive experience in the semiconductor industry. Previously, Alvin served as a Senior Process Engineer at Micron Technology from August 2015 to January 2021, where responsibilities included leading capacity expansion efforts, qualifying production tools, and collaborating with vendors to develop new process recipes. Alvin also participated in cross-module teams to resolve yield loss issues and developed procedures for maintenance and process qualification. Earlier roles included a Process Engineer position focused on quality control, process optimization, and implementing improvement methodologies such as SPC, FMEA, and 8D. Alvin holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Materials Science and Engineering from Nanyang Technological University Singapore, earned in 2015.
