Jan Slaghekke

For more than 30 years, Jan Slaghekke has served in various executive, functional and advisory roles across the globe in the energy and renewables sector.

As Vice President and Managing Director, International Business, Mr. Slaghekke oversees the existing international operations as well as international business development and integration.

Prior to REG, Mr. Slaghekke served as the CEO and Executive Director for Sungevity International in the Netherlands where he led the strategic direction and operations of the organization across Europe. Prior to this he held multiple international positions during his 19 years with BP involving supply, trading, strategy, business development and commercial operations in the U.S., Europe and Asia and served as a member of the BP Alternative Energy Senior Executive Team. He also advised the executive management of Vestas Wind Systems.

Since 2019, Mr. Slaghekke has served as an Advisory Board Member for Family Office IMP BV.

Mr. Slaghekke holds an International MBA degree from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University in the Netherlands and a bachelor's degree in Economics from Bucknell University in Pennsylvania.

He is based out of REG’s Amsterdam office and lives in the Netherlands with his wife Nicole and three daughters.
