Caroline Gilpin has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Caroline started their career with Rolls-Royce, where they worked as an Engineering Graduate and later as a Repair Services Engineer, leading repair modifications and managing teams. Caroline also served as the Quality & Business Improvement Manager, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and implementing cost-saving measures.
Caroline then joined Raleigh International as a Lead Project Manager, responsible for building a kindergarten in a remote area of Sabah. Caroline managed project relations, coordinated with stakeholders, and delivered the project within budget and time constraints.
Currently, they hold the position of Senior New Sites Manager at RES, where they have previously served as the PPA Origination Manager, Head of Engineering & Innovation, Innovation & Improvement Manager, and Strategic Project Manager. In their previous role as Wind Farm Asset Manager, Caroline effectively managed a wind farm portfolio, adhered to safety and environmental policies, maximized revenue, and enhanced community engagement.
Caroline Gilpin has a diverse education history with a focus on engineering and energy. Caroline attended Strabane Grammar School from 1989 to 1996, where they pursued A levels in mathematics, physics, and Art & Design. Following that, they enrolled at Heriot-Watt University from 1996 to 2000, obtaining a BEng Hons degree in Mechanical Engineering. Later, in 2000 and 2001, Caroline attended the University of Leeds, where they completed an MSc degree in Combustion and Energy. It is worth noting that Caroline also returned to Heriot-Watt University at an unspecified time to pursue another BEng Hons degree in Mechanical Engineering.
