Don Harvie has extensive work experience in the training and competency management field. Don is currently working as the Future Careers and Training Manager at RES, where they support the strategic development of the company's resource base capability and designs a learning and development strategy for operations and maintenance. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Training & Competence Consultant at Corporate Competence Consultants Ltd., where they conducted technical competence assessments for mechanical and marine engineers. Don also has experience as a Project Manager and Regional Lead, Competency Management in West Africa at IHRDC, where they managed projects with major IOC and independent energy companies. Additionally, they served as a Training & Nationalization Superintendent at Modec International Inc., where they were responsible for all training and nationalization initiatives. Earlier in their career, they held roles such as Operations Manager at Blackpool and The Fylde College and Technical Training Manager at CINOP Middle East. Don has also worked as a Training & Competence Consultant at Corporate Competence Consultants Ltd. and as a Training Manager at Prime Atlantic Cegelec, where they managed the training program for the Egina FPSO. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Competence Assurance Adviser at NC Production Operations Company B.V. and as a Training Coordinator at Sakhalin Energy. Throughout their career, Don Harvie has demonstrated expertise in competency framework development, training program management, and talent development.

From 1992 to 1995, they attended the University of Leicester, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Training.

In 2017, they received an Award from HABC in Education and Training.

Between 2016 and 2017, Don Harvie studied at the Australian Qualifications Framework, earning a TAE 40110, Cert.4 in Training & Assessment - Assessor Skill Set.

In 2013 and 2014, they completed a Cerificate IA00015MEA from OPITO, specializing in Internal Auditor training.

From 2010 to 2012, Don Harvie attended the Brighton School of Business and Management, acquiring a Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership.
