Damien Janssen

Damien Janssen is a seasoned hydrogeologist with extensive experience in water management within the mining sector. Currently serving as Principal - Water Planning at BHP since March 2020, Damien leads strategic and technical efforts for water management across the Nickel West Asset. Previous roles include Principal Hydrogeologist at CSA Global, where a focus was placed on holistic mine water management across various international projects, and Principal Hydrogeologist and Mining Sector Lead at RPS Australia Asia Pacific. Damien has also held significant positions at BHP Billiton, overseeing hydrogeological investigations and integrating water management into resource engineering functions, as well as managing projects at RPS Group and Rockwater Pty Ltd. Educational qualifications include a BSc (Hons) in Geology from Curtin University and the University of Melbourne.
