Michael Chapman

Senior New Sites Manager (storage) at Renewable Energy Systems

Michael Chapman has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Michael is currently working as a New Sites Development Manager at RES since November 2021. Prior to this, they co-founded The Refill Machine Company in 2019, where they served as a Co-Founder responsible for the company's operations. In 2013, they became the Managing Director of Green Assist, an organization focused on environmental assistance.

Michael also worked as a Business Manager at SWIG Finance from June 2019 to November 2021. Before that, they had a successful tenure at PwC, starting as a Senior Associate in Corporate Finance in September 2013 and later becoming a Manager in Corporate Finance M&A Advisory in June 2017.

Michael's earlier experiences include working as a Project Manager at Granted Consultancy Ltd from August 2012 to August 2013, a Design Engineer at solarcentury in 2011, and a Solar PV and Thermal Installer at Solarsense UK in 2010. Michael also has experience as a Dinghy Instructor at Chew Valley Lake Sailing Club, where they taught sailing to young people. Additionally, they worked as a Customer Service Assistant at WHSmith from June 2007 to June 2009.

Michael Chapman attended Chew Valley School from 2001 to 2008, where they earned their AS and A-Levels. Their chosen subjects included Maths, Physics, Environmental Science, and Product Design. Following this, they pursued higher education at the University of Exeter from 2009 to 2012. During this time, they completed a BSc (Hons) CSMA degree with a focus on Renewable Energy.
