Steven Oswald

Steven Oswald has a strong background in the energy industry, with extensive experience in commercial operations and project management. Steven most recently worked as a Commercial Director at RES since 2022. Prior to that, they held various roles at GE Renewable Energy from 2016 to 2022, including General Manager, Commercial Operations APAC and Director, GE Renewable Energy Australia Pty Ltd. Steven also served as the Country Executive for Australia & New Zealand and General Manager, Commercial Operations APAC. Earlier in their career, Oswald worked at GE Power & Water as a Commercial Director - Asia Pacific, Renewables, and at AGL Energy in roles such as Head of Special Projects and Project Delivery, Manager of Gas and Power Development, and Senior Project Manager. Steven began their career at Sinclair Knight Merz as a Project Manager and Project Engineer in the mining, power, and industrial sectors.

Steven Oswald pursued their education in a dedicated and progressive manner. From 1991 to 1996, they attended the University of New South Wales (UNSW), where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng, Hons 1) degree in Mechanical Engineering. This educational endeavor equipped him with a solid foundation in the field.

After a gap of several years, Steven engaged in further academic pursuits, this time at Macquarie University. In 2004 and 2005, they pursued a Master's degree in Commercial Law, delving into the intricacies of this specialized area of study.

In 2019, they extended their breadth of knowledge by enrolling in the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Steven successfully completed the Company Directors Course, enhancing their understanding of corporate governance and leadership within organizations.
