Amir Zomorodian

Amir Zomorodian is a seasoned Materials Scientist currently employed at Renishaw since April 2021, specializing in corrosion protection systems for reinforcing steel and investigating self-healing technology for concrete. Prior experience includes a Research Associate position at the University of Cambridge, where Amir focused on corrosion modeling and the development of corrosion inhibitors, as well as a Research Assistant role at FCT NOVA, working on electrochromic devices and surface analysis of materials. Amir also contributed as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Delft University of Technology, exploring cathodic protection methods against microbial corrosion. Academic credentials include a PhD in Materials Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico and a Master's degree in Materials Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology.
