Dr. Christian Schmidt, MBA, currently serves as the Head of Tax at RENK Group since July 2024. Previously, Dr. Schmidt held various roles at Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG from June 2014 to July 2024, including Head of Tax Advisory & International Taxation, and focused on areas such as transfer pricing, international tax law, tax compliance, and US Tax compliance. A legal career began at Shearman & Sterling LLP and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, providing expertise in national and international tax law and advising on complex tax structures for corporations and investment funds. Dr. Schmidt holds an MBA from WU Executive Academy and has completed extensive legal education at The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg, where Dr. Schmidt continues to pursue a doctorate.
