William Newell is the current CEO at Renovo Solutions. Prior to this, they spent 15 years at Dentsply Sirona, where they served as Senior Vice President- Chief Segment Officer. In this role, they led corporate-wide R&D/Product Innovation Strategy and Global Product Marketing and Management.
As a member of management, William helped transform the organization, reigniting growth and enhancing profitability by integrating operations and decision-making for 11 business units and retooling business processes. This work expanded the operating margin from 15% to 20%, creating shareholder value.
William also reinvented the innovation process, creating a disciplined structure and sustainable focus on the highest ROI projects. This led to a reduction in the number of annual R&D projects from 100+ to 25, and captured first-year new product revenue of $150 million in 2019, accounting for a majority of corporate growth, launching 11 new products - three times previous levels.
In addition, William developed, secured board approval, and implemented two corporate strategic priorities – eCommerce and Digital Dentistry. William earmarked $25 million in funding within existing budget through prioritization and efficiency gains. This enabled the promotion of development of a web platform and data analytics capability to get closer to customers and create demand. Finally, they collaborated with the executive team to create a Digital Dentistry strategy that integrates company hardware, software, and consumables into easy-to-use procedure workflows enabling customers to confidently perform more complex dental procedures.
William Newell earned their Bachelor of Science in Biology from Wake Forest University. William then went on to earn their Master of Business Administration in Business Administration and Management from Ohio University.
