Gaetano Montelione

Gaetano Montelione is a Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Biophysical Chemistry at Rutgers University and holds the Jerome and Lorraine Aresty Chair and Distinguished Professor of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry position, serving since January 1989. Additionally, Montelione is a Professor of Chemistry and Chemical Biology and Constellation Chair in Structural Bioinformatics at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a role commenced in September 2019. Educational credentials include a B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Cornell University, completed between 1977 and 1987, followed by post-doctoral studies in Molecular Biophysics and Protein NMR at The University of Michigan from 1987 to 1988.
