Kristie Bowers

Kristie Bowers serves as the Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute since September 2023. Previous positions include Senior Associate Athletic Director at Boston University from August 2019 to September 2023, where responsibilities involved managing student-athlete support services and liaising with campus departments on academic and wellness matters. Bowers held multiple roles at Binghamton University from April 2011 to August 2019, including Instructor for the First Year Experience Course, Assistant Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Support and Development, and Assistant Women's Soccer Coach. Early career experience includes teaching high school earth and physical science in Jackson County School District, North Carolina. Bowers holds a PhD in Community and Public Affairs from Binghamton University, a Master's in Comprehensive Education and Physical Education from Western Carolina University, and a Bachelor's degree in Human Development from Binghamton University.
