Pamela Smith

Pamela Smith has extensive experience in communications and marketing, currently serving as the Vice President of Communications at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute since June 2017, where additional roles have included Acting Vice President for Strategic Communications & External Relations and Associate Vice President for Marketing & Communications. Prior to this, Pamela held the position of Marketing Director at Anthem, Inc. from 2005 to 2016 and worked as a Marketing Consultant and Communications Coach from 2007 to 2009. Earlier career achievements include roles as Director of PR and Employee Communications at Unum, Public Relations Director at Binax, Marketing Communications Manager at Standard Register, Public Relations Coordinator at Franciscan Health System of the Ohio Valley, and Public Information Specialist at the Combined Health District of Montgomery County. Pamela holds a BA in Communications Studies from Wright State University.
