Robert Barbieri

Robert Barbieri is an experienced football coach currently serving as the Defensive Coordinator and Special Teams Coordinator at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute since July 2019, with additional responsibilities as the Linebackers Coach and Director of Football Operations. Previously, Robert held coaching positions at Assumption University as an Assistant Football Coach and at Middle Tennessee State University as a Defensive Quality Control Coach. Early coaching experience includes a Football Coaching Intern role at Ithaca College and a Football Staff Intern position at Marist College. Robert earned a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management from Ithaca College and a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration from Stony Brook University.
