Marvis Burns

Co Founder at Rent Scene

Marvis Burns has a long history of work experience, beginning in 2008 as an Investment Banking Intern at Lehman Brothers. After that, they held the role of Controllership Analyst at GE Capital Real Estate and Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst at GE Capital in 2009. In 2010, they moved to UBS, C&W as a Business Analyst. In 2012, Marvis founded Educational Keys. In 2013, they co-founded Rent Scene, an apartment hunters service for busy people. In 2018, they co-founded BMB Living, Inc. and in 2019 they became the Chief Information Officer at Live PIF. Most recently, they have been serving as the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Investments at Sprout Capital, LLC since 2016.

Marvis Burns received a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Hospitality Management and Finance from Cornell University. Marvis then went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The Wharton School, which they completed in 2014. In 2016, they attended Y Combinator and has no additional certifications. Marvis also attended Cranbrook Kingswood, though the duration is unknown.
