Brid Rooney

Brid Rooney has over 25 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Brid is currently the VP of Quality Assurance & Quality Control at Rentschler Biopharma SE. Previously, they held various roles at Lonza, including Senior Director and Site Quality Head, as well as QA Director and Asset Quality Head. Before that, they were the Executive Director of Quality and Quality Head at Bioverativ, a Sanofi company. Brid also worked at Sanofi, where they served as a QA Director for Biologics External Supply and held other positions such as Sr. Manager for Cell Culture Operations and Process Engineer for Manufacturing Technical Support. Brid started their career as a Manufacturing Associate at Genzyme Corporation and the Center for Blood Research Laboratories, Inc. Throughout their career, Brid has been involved in quality assurance, quality control, GMP compliance, and overseeing manufacturing operations.

Brid Rooney received a Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology from Dublin City University from 1988 to 1992. Brid then pursued a Graduate Certificate Program in Leadership for Change from Boston College, School of Management and Department of Sociology, from 2000 to 2001. Later, they obtained an M. Phil. in Chemical Engineering from The University of Manchester, from 1992 to 1994.
