Remco Muntendam

Remco Muntendam, PhD, MBA, currently serves as Downstream Process Manager at Rentschler Biopharma SE since August 2022, following a role as Scientist in Bioprocess & Analytical Development at Boehringer Ingelheim from October 2020 to August 2022. Previously, Remco held the position of Subject Matter Expert in Bioprocessing at BakerHicks and served as Project Leader and Manager at BIOMIN, focusing on project management and the investigation of phytochemical mechanisms. Prior experience includes multiple roles at DSM, leading enzyme application laboratory efforts and managing project budgets, as well as a postdoctoral position at Technische Universität Dortmund researching metabolic engineering. Remco earned a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Groningen and has a diverse educational background, including an EMBA and various degrees in chemical and pharmaceutical sciences, medical biochemistry, and medical microbiology.
