Ernst Wehtje

Ernst Wehtje has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Ernst currently works at ReOrbit as the Head of Institutional Sales, where they are responsible for sales strategies and partnerships. Prior to this, they were a Business Development Manager at ReOrbit and a Space Business Engineer.

Before joining ReOrbit, Ernst worked as a Private Investor. Ernst also gained valuable experience at the European Space Agency (ESA) as a Young Graduate Trainee, where they supported the Chief Technology Advisor in technology innovation and market analysis.

Ernst's passion for space continued during their time at the Association of Engineering Students in Rocketry, where they held several leadership roles including External Relations of the Board, President of the Board, and Treasurer of the Board. In these positions, they managed projects, secured funding, and improved the organization.

Ernst also has engineering experience at GomSpace, where they developed propulsion systems for small satellites. Additionally, Ernst co-founded and managed a business idea as a Co-founder & Partner at Nestla Applications, a developer of iPhone applications. Ernst also gained logistics and management experience at the Falsterbo Horse Show.

Earlier in their career, Ernst worked as a Mechanical Structures Engineer at MIST, the first satellite built by KTH. Ernst also worked as a Craftsman at ARBETSKRAFT ÖRESUND AB and as an Assistant to the Director at Global Gossip Group.

Ernst Wehtje attended the KTH Royal Institute of Technology from 2013 to 2017, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Ernst further pursued their education at the same institute, earning a Master of Science in Engineering in Aerospace Engineering from 2017 to 2019. In 2016, they also attended Grenoble INP - UGA for a brief period, studying Industrial Engineering.
