Aj Cowan

AJ Cowan, CISSP, has a comprehensive work experience in the field of information security. They have held various roles in different companies. From 2015 to 2016, they worked at Johnson Controls as part of the Risk Management and Data Protection team, where they assessed the security posture of third-party cloud vendors and calculated risks for the corporation. From 2016 to 2019, they worked at Spectrum Health in different roles, including Senior Security Engineer and Senior Security Analyst, focusing on information security. From 2019 to 2021, they served as an Information Security Manager at Sovereign Sportsman Solutions, proposing and implementing an information security program, designing and implementing security controls, and providing security requirements for projects and architecture updates. From 2020 to 2023, they worked at Healthpilot Technologies, first as a Lead Security Engineer and Manager, overseeing the information security program and leading projects, and later as an IT Security Officer, assisting with implementing IT administration programs. From 2023 to the present, they hold the position of Sr. Manager, Security Architecture & Design at Constellation Brands. Most recently, starting in October 2023, AJ Cowan is the Director of Information Security at REPAY - Realtime Electronic Payments.

AJ Cowan, CISSP obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science with a Concentration in Biometrics from Davenport University, where they completed their studies from 2013 to 2016. In addition to their academic background, they have obtained several certifications, including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in September 2022, InsightAppSec Certified Specialist from Rapid7 in 2021, GIAC Systems and Network Auditor (GSNA) from GIAC Certifications in July 2018, GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) from GIAC Certifications in September 2017, and GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE) from GIAC Certifications in April 2019.
