Violeta Rayon Estrada has a diverse work experience in the field of immune medicine and genetic research. Violeta started their career as a Research Associate at Whitehead Institute in 2009, where they investigated the role of glucocorticoids in cell proliferation and self-renewal. Violeta conducted high throughput chromatin immunoprecipitation and created a library of targets for further screening.
In 2011, Violeta joined Rockefeller University as a Graduate Fellow, where they focused on uncovering how post-transcriptional modifications regulate gene expression and contribute to genetic variability in cell populations. Their advisor was Dr. Nina Papavasiliou.
After that, they joined Cogen Immune Medicine in 2017 as a Scientist I, and later advanced to the role of Scientist II. During their time there, they worked on immune medicine research.
Currently, Violeta is working at Repertoire Immune Medicines as a Senior Scientist. Their responsibilities include conducting scientific research and contributing to the development of immune medicines.
Overall, Violeta Rayon Estrada has demonstrated expertise in immune medicine and genetic research through their various roles and experiences.
Violeta Rayon Estrada pursued their education starting from 2002. Violeta completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the National Autonomous University of Mexico in the year 2006. Violeta further continued their studies and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Immunology at the same university, from 2007 to 2009. In pursuit of higher education, Violeta then joined The Rockefeller University from 2011 to 2015, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Immunology and RNA editing.
