Chris Sanders has over 20 years of work experience in various roles. Chris began their career in 2000 as an Engineering Co-Op. In 2004, they took on the role of Electrical Engineer at TSC - Phase IV Division, where they provided electrical and mechanical design including schematics, PCB layout, part selection, DVT, system integration, and delivery and training with customers. In 2010, they became the Software Development Manager at deciBel Research, Inc., where they managed resources and lead direct reports, mediated conflicts, and conducted annual appraisals including salary action plans. In 2013, they became the Product Manager at Synapse Wireless, Inc. In 2015, they became the Manager of AWS Region Build at Amazon Web Services, where they worked with all of the Engineering teams developing both internal and customer facing Amazon services to coordinate the creation of new Amazon data centers. In 2016, they became the Kubernetes Engineering Manager at Canonical, where they managed a team of developers providing some of the latest in Kubernetes solutions. In 2021, they took on the roles of Director Customer Reliability Engineering and Sr. Engineering Manager at Replicated.

Chris Sanders attained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology between 1999 and 2004. Chris then went on to obtain a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Radar, from the University of Alabama in Huntsville between 2005 and 2009. In 2015, Chris Sanders obtained a Pragmatic Marketing Level Three (PMC-III) certification from Pragmatic Marketing in September and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in March.
