Kavita Khandekar Chopra is an accomplished professional with a strong background in social work and organizational strategy. Currently serving as Managing Director of Strategy & Engagement and Managing Director of Organizational Strategy at re:power since February 2019, Kavita has previously held multiple leadership roles at the Human Rights Initiative of North Texas Inc., including Deputy Director and Marketing & Development Director. Key accomplishments include overseeing an agency-wide strategic planning process and managing revenue development efforts through comprehensive grant writing and donor cultivation. Early career experiences encompass various internships and positions focused on social services, prevention, and community engagement, complemented by a Master of Science in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Welfare from the University of California, Berkeley.
