Fernando Ortega Castro

Fernando Ortega Castro is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in engineering and project management within the energy sector. Currently serving as a Senior Operations Engineer at Repsol since November 2011, Fernando operates various units including Diesel Hydroprocessing, Catalytic Reforming, and Crude Distillation. Prior to this role, Fernando excelled as a Senior Process Engineer, specializing in Hydroprocessing and H2 Production for over a decade. Earlier career highlights include managing projects at WASTE TO ENERGY TECHNOLOGIES, where roles encompassed Pilot Plant operations and design of biomass-to-energy systems, as well as serving as Project Manager at Solaria Energía y Medio Ambiente, focusing on photovoltaic project development. Fernando's expertise is further backed by a Master's degree in Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency and a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha.
