Javier Marcos González

Senior Scientist. Process Design at Repsol

Javier Marcos González is a Senior Scientist in Process Design at Repsol since February 2021, with extensive experience in chemical engineering and process optimization. Prior to this role, Javier contributed as a Research and Development Engineer at Fundación CIRCE, focusing on bio-refinery processes and energy efficiency projects from May 2017 to February 2021. Earlier experience includes working as a Process Engineer at IMDEA Energía, specializing in bio-refinery pilot unit operation, and at Repsol, where responsibilities involved operating and maintaining petroleum refining pilot units. Javier also conducted research for a Master's thesis at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso and provided technical support in maintenance management systems at Iberdrola Renovables. Javier's foundational skills in project design and development were honed at Reins. Javier holds a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering and a Technical Engineering degree in Industrial Engineering with a specialization in Chemical Engineering from Universidad de Cantabria and Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, respectively.
