Kaumbu Mwondela

Kaumbu is a partner at Messrs Lloyd Jones & Collins, a legal firm. Prior to this, Kaumbu was a Senior Associate-Commercial Litigation at Chibesakunda & Co where he advised a broad spectrum of both individual and corporate clients and undertook all litigation. Kaumbu also performed company secretarial functions.

He is Board Chairperson of Afya Mzuri, an NGO established to assist both private and public sectors to conduct HIV/AIDS risk assessments, develop HIV/AIDS workplace policies, design and implement HIV/AIDS workplace prevention and wellness programmes, and design systems for monitoring and evaluating workplace activities, provide up-to-date health information, education and communication materials.

Kaumbu is also the Board Chairperson of the AIDS & Rights Alliance of Southern Africa (ARASA) a regional organisation committed to fostering a human rights based approach to HIV and AIDS in the region.

Kaumbu is a consultant with particular expertise in rights-based approaches, law and policy review, organisational governance, training in human rights, law and HIV/AIDS.

He is a legal resource person for Mount Makulu Baptist Church Constitution Review Commission.
