Margriet Blaauw

Margriet has worked for more than 15 years as a mental health and psychosocial advisor in post conflict situations and in areas affected by disasters worldwide.

She was the co-chair of the IASC Reference Group on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) from 2013 -2016 on behalf of War Trauma Foundation.

She worked as MHPSS Strategic Advisor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands and was a member of the team that organised the 2019 Mind the Mind Now conference on MHPSS in crisis situations, hosted by the Netherlands.

She is originally trained as a medical doctor and has a background in international health. Currently she works as an independent MHPSS consultant.
