Geon Hwangbo

Geon Hwangbo is an Army Tactical Command Information System Operator with the Republic of Korea Army since August 2023. Previously, Geon served as a Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence Researcher at Grit Standard from May 2023 to August 2023, where contributions included conducting a comparative analysis of language models and developing a custom OCR model for invoice processing. In late 2022, Geon was a finalist in the Business+Tech Innovation Jam at Michigan Ross, developing a productivity app prototype. Geon gained early experience as a Machine Learning Engineer Intern at LAON PEOPLE Inc. in July 2020, focusing on face detection and security solutions. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the University of Michigan, with an expected graduation in April 2025.
