Michael Lawson

Michael Lawson currently serves as the Senior Director of Commerce at Republic Records since July 2023. Prior to this role, Lawson was the Senior Director of National Accounts, Music at Ingram Entertainment, managing sales and marketing functions for several major retailers. Lawson's extensive experience at Universal Music Group spanned nearly two decades, with significant positions including Senior Director of Sales, Commercial Partnerships and Vice President of National Sales & Commercial Partnerships, where a focus on adapting to the digital marketplace was key. Lawson also directed regional sales strategies and managed key accounts, achieving substantial growth through innovative partnerships and marketing initiatives. Lawson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from Florida Atlantic University.
