Carmen Silva

Carmen Silva currently serves as a Technical Advisor to the Secretary of State for Tax Affairs in the XXIV Government of República Portuguesa, a position held since April 2024. Prior experience includes roles as a Business Consulting Manager and Senior at EY focusing on the Government & Public Sector from October 2022 to April 2024, and as a Financial Controller at Swogo from March to October 2022. Carmen's career at EY began in 2016 as a Tax Consultant and advanced to a Senior Tax Consultant before transitioning to consulting. Educational qualifications include a Pós-Graduação in Direito da Energia from Universidade Católica Portuguesa (2019-2020), a Master's degree in Finanças from ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics & Management (2013-2016), and a Bachelor's degree in Gestão from the same institution (2010-2013). Prior to these roles, Carmen worked as a Research Assistant for Professor Joaquim Miranda Sarmento in 2016.
