Miguel Pinto Luz currently serves as the Ministro das Infraestruturas e Habitação for the República Portuguesa since April 2024. Prior to this role, Miguel held the position of Deputado na XVI Legislatura for the Assembleia da República Portuguesa in March 2024 and was the President of SEDES Lisboa from May 2023 to March 2024. From January 2022 to March 2024, Miguel was the Presidente of Fundação Alfredo de Sousa and served as Vice-presidente for both the Câmara Municipal de Cascais and the Entidade Regional de Turismo de Lisboa from January 2011 to January 2024 and January 2011 to July 2023, respectively. Miguel Pinto Luz earned a Bachelor of Engineering and a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico and completed an Executive MBA at AESE Business School.

O Governo conduz a política geral do país e dirige a Administração Pública, que executa a política do Estado. O Governo tem funções políticas, legislativas e administrativas. O Governo tem como funções: - relacionar-se com outros Estados e organizações internacionais, - propor leis à Assembleia da República, - estudar problemas e decidir sobre as melhores soluções (normalmente fazendo leis), - fazer regulamentos técnicos para que as leis sejam cumpridas, - decidir onde se gasta o dinheiro público. O Governo tem responsabilidades políticas perante o Presidente da República - a quem responde através do Primeiro-Ministro - e perante a Assembleia da República - através da prestação de contas da sua atuação política, respondendo às perguntas dos deputados.
