Alex J. Duran Cysa

Alex J. Duran is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in parks and recreation management, public relations, and constituent services. Currently serving as the Parks and Recreation Director for the City of Sweetwater and as the Public Relations Officer for the Neighborhood Improvement Advisory Board, Alex is also an active Republican Executive Committeeman for Miami-Dade County District 24. Previous roles include a staff assistant in the office of United States Senator Marco Rubio, a disaster assistance employee for Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces, and a director and instructor for the Music Theory Program at Miami School of The Arts. Education includes a Certificate in Management Leadership from Florida International University and an Associate of Arts in Public Administration from Miami Dade College, alongside a High School Diploma from Pinecrest Preparatory Academy Charter High School.
