John Carroll serves as Vice Chairman and Commissioner for the Hernando County Housing Authority, appointed by Governor DeSantis, overseeing various HUD activities and programs. In the Republican Liberty Caucus, John held multiple leadership roles, including National Membership Chair, Director-at-Large for Florida, and State Membership Director, overseeing membership activities and providing regular reports. John is also active in the Republican Party of Florida as a Precinct Committeeman for Hernando and Pinellas Counties. Previously, John served as an Alternate Commissioner for the Hernando County Planning & Zoning Commission and as Assistant Secretary of the Florida Federation of Young Republicans. John's background includes military service as a Military Police Officer in the US Army, where multiple commendations were awarded, and a career as a Correctional Officer in the Florida Department of Corrections. Academic qualifications include two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and History, along with certificates in Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
