Sylvain Wallez

Sylvain Wallez is a seasoned backend software engineer currently employed at Rerun, focusing on AI-powered data platforms for robotic models since October 2025. With a long-standing commitment to the Apache Software Foundation, Sylvain contributes as a committer and member on the Apache Cocoon project. Prior to Rerun, Sylvain served as a principal software engineer and tech lead at Elastic, where responsibilities included API specification modeling and developing SDK libraries. Sylvain's career features leadership roles in various tech companies, including OVH, where expertise was applied in building IoT offerings, and as founder of Actoboard, a real-time business metrics dashboard. Education includes a Master's degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence from Université de Technologie de Compiègne.
