Alan Lin

Alan Lin is Head of the Data Systems team and is responsible for managing the financial, market, and reference data that supports investment research, portfolio construction, and product management.

For more than 20 years, Alan has held positions in information technology, portfolio engineering, and strategy implementation within the investment management industry. Prior to joining Research Affiliates, he was an associate director at First Quadrant, where he developed tools and applications for managing the firm’s data systems.

Alan holds an MS in computer engineering from the University of Southern California and a BA summa cum laude in physics from Ithaca College. Alan holds the CIPM designation from CFA Institute.
