Thomas Verghese

Tom Verghese contributes to the product strategy efforts to support RAFI™ clients and Research Affiliates’ client-facing team. He creates custom analytics, performance commentary for the RAFI Multi-Factor Index strategies, and presents on performance of RAFI products. Tom’s role also entails liaising with the firm’s Equity Research, Investment Management, Investment Systems, and Compliance teams to help create and develop content and technology to support the smart beta and multi-asset products of Research Affiliates.

Prior to joining Research Affiliates, Tom was an associate portfolio manager for Affinity Investment Advisors, LLC, a quantamental equity asset manager. While at Affinity, Tom participated in the design and launch of the international fund and later the systematic global ETF strategy as well as coverage of the energy sector for the international team.

Tom holds a BA in economics from Reed College. He holds the Charted Financial Analyst® designation as well as the CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing and is a member of CFA Institute and CFA Society Los Angeles.
