Prof. Andreas Efstathiou

Prof. Andreas Efstathiou is an accomplished academic and research leader with extensive experience in higher education and innovation. Currently serving as Vice Chairman and Secretary at the Research and Innovation Foundation since May 2019, Prof. Efstathiou is also the Rector and a Professor at European University Cyprus, where tenure began in December 2012. Previous positions include Vice Rector of Research & External Affairs at the same institution and postdoctoral research roles at Imperial College London and Queen Mary, University of London. Prof. Efstathiou's academic journey culminated in a BSc(Eng) and PhD from Queen Mary, University of London, achieved between 1983 and 1989.
