Research for Action
Julia C. Ransom, Ph.D., is an accomplished academic and research professional with extensive experience in qualitative research and educational leadership. Currently serving as the Associate Research Director at Research for Action, Julia has also held positions as a Qualitative Research Associate. At Hunter College, Julia contributes as an Adjunct Professor and previously worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher. Julia’s previous roles include Senior Qualitative Research Scientist at Pearson, Director of Evaluation and Research at L & G Research and Evaluation Consulting Inc., and Research Associate at PolicyLab at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Julia began an academic career at Temple University as an Instructor/Researcher after serving as a Program Associate at Eisenhower Fellowships. Julia holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Urban Education and Leadership from Temple University, a Master’s Degree in Intercultural Communication in Education from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Science in Speech Communication and Rhetoric from Millersville University of Pennsylvania.
