Cheryl Gerstler is an experienced professional in the fields of mental health and public health, currently serving as a Prevention Specialist at the Office of Mental Health, Office of Prevention and Health Initiatives since December 2020, and previously as a Program Engagement Specialist at NY Project Hope. Prior to their current roles, Cheryl coordinated volunteer services for Schenectady County at The Community Hospice and held various positions at the New York State Association of County Health Officials (NYSACHO), including Manager of Communications, Member Engagement and Public Health, and Public Health Specialist. Cheryl's foundational experience includes serving as an Office Manager for the Niskayuna Community Action Program and working in programs and events for the Association Development Group. Academic qualifications include a Certificate of Graduate Study in Public Health Fundamentals and Principles from the University at Albany, a Master of Education in Human Resources Development from the University of Minnesota, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources Management from Ohio University.
