Shahab Hosseini

Shahab Hosseini is a researcher at the Research Institute of Petroleum Industry (RIPI) since June 2023 and has been the head researcher of the Scale Management Team at the University of Tehran since August 2020. In these roles, Shahab focuses on predicting and preventing mineral scale precipitation and deposition in injection and production wells, employing various inhibitors to enhance production and manage formation damage, utilizing PHREEQC geochemical package and MATLAB for simulations and laboratory experiments. Key achievements include conducting core flooding tests to evaluate scale inhibitors and inventing a cost-effective scale inhibitor. Prior experience includes positions at Shiraz University in formation damage and well treatment and traineeships at North Drilling Company. Shahab holds a Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering from Shiraz University and a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering from Garmsar University.
