Daniel Hook

Daniel Hook is the Chief Executive Officer and a Board Member at Digital Science, where involvement includes serving as Director of Research Metrics since July 2013. Additionally, Daniel is a Board Member and Co-Chair at the Research On Research Institute (RoRI) and a Policy Fellow at the Centre for Science and Policy, University of Cambridge, both since September 2019. As a Co-Founder of Dimensions and an Advisor at Wluper, Daniel has taken significant roles in various organizations. Other positions include Fellow at the Institute of Physics, Board Member at Altmetric, and Visiting Academic in Complexity at Imperial College London. Daniel also holds the role of Visiting Professor at Washington University in St. Louis. Formerly, Daniel served as Treasurer and Board Member for ORCID until January 2023. Educational qualifications include a Master of Business Administration from Cambridge Judge Business School, a PhD in Quantum Statistical Physics, an MSc in Quantum Fields and Fundamental Forces, and a BSc in Physics with Theoretical Physics, all from Imperial College London.
