Angela Hinson Quick

Senior Vice President, Education at Research Triangle Institute

Angela Hinson Quick, Ed.D., MBA has a diverse range of work experience in the field of education. Angela began their career as a Biology Teacher at Moore County Schools in 1991 and later became the Director/Principal of a Magnet School at Richland 2 Public Schools in South Carolina. Angela then served as the Principal of Rockdale Magnet School for Science & Technology in Georgia before becoming the Principal of Watauga High School in 2005.

In 2008, Angela joined the Department of Public Instruction as the Deputy Chief Academic Officer. Angela held this position until 2013 when they transitioned to the role of Senior Vice President of Talent Development at NC New Schools. Angela's next move was to RTI International in 2016, where they served as the Director of the Center for Education Services. Angela was later promoted to Vice President and is currently the Senior Vice President of Education at RTI International.

Throughout their career, Angela has demonstrated a strong commitment to education and has held various leadership positions in different educational institutions and organizations.

Angela Hinson Quick, Ed.D., MBA has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology Secondary Education from Appalachian State University, which they earned from 1987 to 1991. Angela obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Secondary Science from the University of South Carolina between 1996 and 1999. In addition, they completed their Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General at Cambridge College from 2009 to 2012. Currently, Angela is pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Western Governors University, expected to be completed from 2021 to 2022.
