Erin Velez currently serves as the Director of Education Research at RTI International, leading large education research projects for foundation and federal clients while specializing in higher education policy, data analysis, research consulting, and project leadership. Prior experience includes a role as a Researcher at the American Institutes for Research from July 2012 to May 2014 and research assistant positions under Dr. James Wyckoff and Dr. Sarah Turner at the University of Virginia, focusing on economics research utilizing STATA and large data sets. Erin Velez has also contributed as a Teaching Assistant for Intermediate Microeconomics and Principles of Macroeconomics while pursuing a Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Virginia, where degrees in Economics at both the Master's and Bachelor's levels were obtained.
