Gaurav Bhatiani

Gaurav Bhatiani serves as the Director of Energy and Environment at RTI International since 2020 and previously held the role of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Economist at IL&FS from 2015 to 2020, focusing on M&A transactions and energy policy. Gaurav also directed market strategy and regulation at Statkraft from 2010 to 2015 and worked as a Principal Energy Specialist at USAID from 2003 to 2010, where leadership in energy activities was emphasized. Earlier positions include Senior Consultant at PwC India and Fellow at TERI, focusing on policy and economic analysis. Gaurav holds a Ph.D. in Energy Policy and Economics from Delhi University and a Masters in Economics, along with a Bachelor's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.
