Nicole Barnes

Nicole Barnes is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in international development, currently serving as Senior Vice President for Sustainable Resilience & Growth at RTI International since May 2003. In this role, Nicole leads the International Development Group's technical unit, focusing on integrated solutions in food security, agriculture, energy, environment, water, governance, and economic growth in the context of climate change. Nicole has a proven track record in business strategy, having spearheaded client diversification efforts, and has played pivotal roles in various leadership positions, including Vice President and Municipal Finance Advisor, where significant contributions were made to organizational growth and project success across multiple regions. Nicole holds a Master of City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies from the University of Iowa.
